Working With You to Prevent Fraud

Protect Your Identity and Personal Information

Financial fraud and identity theft have become very common. The Federal Trade Commission estimates that over 10 million Americans will become victims of identity theft or other fraud each year. Tips and information to help in the fight against fraud is provided below.

  • Review account statements as soon as you receive them.
  • Guard online passwords and Personal Identification Numbers (PINs).
  • Do not respond to messages or emails that ask you to respond with your address, account number, passwords, banking information, or any other personal information.
  • Never have your driver’s license, Social Security Number, or private personal information printed on checks.
