USA Patriot Act
The USA Patriot Act of 2002 (“Patriot Act”) was enacted by Congress to combat the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities. Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, record and retain information that identifies each person opening an account with IB&T.
What this means for you
When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license and other identifying documents.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we do our part to secure a safer tomorrow.
